OMG Nose Bleed!

Epistaxis means nose bleeding. Its normally occurs among children and during dry and dogs day of summer. It is very common in most country. I used to watch my friends having nose bleed during my childhood and I  did not know what to do. Usually I just called my teacher or elder people to look after her/him. However today I study about it and I have notice minute mistake during its management before. Patient use to bend backward with tissues on their nose as likely to sneeze. It is not the correct position.

The correct position: Just do the manual press of front cartilagenous nose at least 10 minute to allow the pletelet aggregation. Breath from the mouth.

Oh yeah, I almost forget to make her/him calm as panicking just make it worse. Then, one can proceed with cold compression with anything icy before getting into hospital if there is anything serious.

Applying Elective Posting in Malaysia

Last couple day, i went to Dr Ismail's clinic which is situated in Kulim near Taman Selasih. My brother and i had problem with our ears. We had having so much fun playing with water at a waterpark a day before. However, we just have a minor problem. Well, not to worry. So we spend a little time with Dr Ismail. He is a supporting man. He advised us a lot since both of us are taking medical as our future profession. He graduated from Al-Azhar University and got many experiences. He talked about advantages and lacks on studying oversea. 

For as he was graduated from Egypt, he has much issues to talk. He advised us to gain more experiences by doing attachment or elective posting in Malaysia's hospital during holiday. He told us to learn common medical abbreviations that have been used here for medical record. Malaysia's senior junior bullying system was practice since secondary school so thus in early medical career between senior hospital staff and HO. He also had facing all that before and it seem to continuously happen till now.We should be strong and tough to hear any harsh complain apart of gaining more knowledge and experiences from them. Build a good relationship with all staff. It's really complicated and challenging.
